Hi, and welcome to the newest issue of NFT Matrix, where I present NFT Artists’ work. There is no presumption or judgement here, only exposure. The artist I am presenting is Violet Bond. Meditative and phenomenal is how I would describe their work. I look at a couple of the artist’s pieces from their various platforms and provide my feelings and thoughts. Hope you enjoy, I’m always open to feedback.
Piece: “The Queen” Link
Artist: “For a time her grass grows strong and tall, consuming the land for as far as the eye can see and beyond. She holds dominion over all. A Queendom that covers everything. At the height of her power, long after the rain has stopped, growth has slowed and the green has turned to golden-brown a time comes that she knows too well. She could stand as a great conqueror, her grass lands smothering the wild and keeping all new life in darkness, her power as Empresses intact for all time but she does not... The spark that starts the blaze is from her own crown. She sets fire to her Queendom, her whole world alight, raising her dominion to the ground. She fades away with the smoke and ash that falls, resting grey and cool on the earth. And in that space she hands over the world, clear and ashen black, ready for the sun and rain to take their place and create the world a new.”
NFTMatrix: This is a visually engaging NFT which contains video. I highly recommend visiting the Link. Researching the artist, I found out that she lives with an aborigine community in Australia, which informs her art. She seems to learn a lot from the nature surrounding her, as well as the aborigine culture.
Piece: “Last Light” Link
Artist: “Tawny Fogmouth with seasonal grasses and marigolds This little ray of sun was the last light of the day, I had not planned it, didn't even know how the light would come through where I was shooting but evening light does magical things. It just kissed this little Tawny for about 3 seconds and then the sun dipped below the trees and it was gone - just like the Tawny. Captured hand held, without a plan in a grassy field where we took a moment said goodbye to the day together. Originally minted on OpenSea April 8, 2022 (moved at the collectors request)”
NFTMatrix: What a beautiful photo. Life is precious, and even the smallest bird deserves recognition for their contribution on this planet. What a reminder that we all have dignity, even in death.
Piece: “Deep Rayne” Link
Artist: “The momentary beauty of a puddle that will already have turned to dust. An assisted self portrait Photographed in a puddle on a red dirt road in Northern Australia. When I was a child we used to wait to see the deep red splashes cover our car as we drove through the puddles after the monsoonal rains. We always returned from adventure sodden and red with mud from head to toe.”
NFT Matrix: The artist has several works centered around puddles as temporary beauty in the desert. Her nudity brings to mind childlike wonder and communion with nature. The colors and contrast were particularly striking with this photo. Another piece which uses nudity in an artistic manner is “Relinquish”
